Delete your Trovie account
You can delete your account and the data tied to it at any time, from the app or from this page.
Want a copy first? Download everything on your account — your library, ratings, comments, profile and follows — from the import page (or Settings → Export your data in the app). Do it before you delete: afterwards there is no account left to export from.
In the app
- Open Trovie and go to the Profile tab.
- If the Profile tab shows your profile, tap Settings (the ⚙ at the top).
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Read the summary of what will be deleted, tell us why you are leaving, then confirm.
- You are signed out as soon as the account is deleted.
On this page
Sign in the same way you do in the app — with Google, or with your email and password — then confirm below.
What is deleted
- Your account (name, email and profile picture) and every signed-in session.
- Your watchlist, watched titles and episode check-ins, and your ratings — your own record of the scores you gave titles and episodes.
- Your profile: the display name, bio and photo you added, the day-by-day activity history behind your heatmap, the people you follow and who follow you, your blocks, and reports made by or about you.
- Your AI chat history, chat usage records and the memory the assistant kept about you.
- The Character Maps you unlocked by watching an ad.
- Any watch history you imported from another service, and the uploaded file's parsed contents. The copy we keep of a file you uploaded to the importer is deleted too. A file you sent our support team to import for you is deleted, along with the record of your request.
- The record of notifications sent to your account.
- The in-app events the app sent our server under your account, and the ones the phones you are signed in on sent without it; the website's analytics events from your account, and the ones the browsers you signed in to the website from sent before you signed in; the record of Trovie Pro features our server turned down for you; and the record of Trovie Pro our team gave you or took back.
- Your @username — and the one you had before, if you changed it — which is released for somebody else to take, along with your likes and reports on other people's comments.
- The feature requests you posted, with every vote on them; your votes on other people's requests; and the problem reports you sent, with their screenshots.
- Your customer record at RevenueCat, our subscription processor.
What is kept
- Reviews you chose to publish into a discussion are comments like any other, so they follow the rule below — they are not removed by deleting the import that brought them in either.
- Comments you wrote are erased — their words, and any GIF or photo in them — but each one stays as an anonymous placeholder. Without it, every reply underneath would lose its place in the conversation. Nothing is left tying it to you — your name, your @username and your photo all go. A comment a moderator had already removed keeps that record, with your name taken off it. Every photo you uploaded for a comment is deleted, posted or not.
- Shared watchlists you own pass to the member who joined earliest. If nobody else is in the list, it is deleted. Titles you added to a shared list stay in it, without your name.
- The scores you gave episodes stay counted in each episode's Trovie rating, and the favourite characters you picked in its fans' favourite, as anonymous tallies: how many people gave each score or picked each character, with no name, account or date attached. Nothing in them can be traced back to you.
- Your phone's install record stays, with your account removed from it. It holds a random install ID, not your identity, and expires after 180 days without use. In-app events sent from a phone you had already signed out of stay with that phone's install ID and expire after 30 days.
- Feedback you sent us, exactly as you sent it — including your name and email, so we can act on it and reply. Email us if you want that deleted too.
Trovie Pro subscribers
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it first in Google Play (Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions), or you will keep being billed.
How long it takes
Deletion is immediate. Short-lived counters (for example the weekly popular-searches count) expire on their own within 8 days. Copies in our database backups are removed as those backups are replaced, which happens automatically.
