Terms of Use

Effective date: September 20, 2026

These terms apply to the Trovie mobile app and the website at trovie.co (the "Service"), operated by Sameer Sitre ("we", "us"). By using the Service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. What Trovie is

Trovie helps you find movies and TV shows, see where they are available and keep track of what you want to watch. Trovie is not a streaming service: it does not host or play films or episodes, and links to streaming services take you to those services, which have their own terms.

2. Your account

• The app requires an account: sign in with Google, or with an email address and a password. So does the website, apart from its landing and guide pages, these terms, the privacy policy and list invitations.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
• You are responsible for what happens under your account. Keep your password, and access to your Google account if you sign in with one, secure.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile tab → Settings, the ⚙ at the top if your profile is showing → Delete account) or at trovie.co/delete-account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service for anything unlawful, or to harass or harm anyone;
• give shared watchlists names or content that is abusive, hateful or sexually explicit;
• scrape, overload or attempt to break the Service, its limits or its security;
• resell or redistribute the Service or the data it shows.

We may suspend or remove accounts or content that break these rules.

4. Content and information

• Title information, images and availability come from third parties (including TMDB and other providers). They can be incomplete, out of date or wrong — for example, a title may leave a service earlier than shown.
• Answers in the AI chat are generated by an AI model and can be mistaken. Don't rely on them for anything important.
• Trovie's name, logo and app are ours. Third-party names and artwork belong to their owners.

5. Things you share

When you add titles to a shared watchlist, the other members can see them and the name and picture of your account. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the Service.

6. Trovie Pro

• Trovie Pro is a subscription sold through Google Play and billed by Google.
• It renews automatically until you cancel it in Google Play. Deleting your Trovie account does not cancel it.
• Refunds follow Google Play's policies.
• We may change Pro features or prices; a price change applies from your next billing period.

7. Ads

The free version of the app shows ads. Trovie Pro removes them.

8. Changes and availability

We may change, pause or discontinue any part of the Service. We may update these terms; the effective date above shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the Service means you accept the update.

9. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by third-party services or information.
