Does Letterboxd track TV shows?

Not series. Letterboxd’s FAQ says it covers films, miniseries and TV movies — not returning series (checked 29 September 2026). So a show you watch week by week, or a long one you are halfway through, needs somewhere else to live.

What TV needs that films don’t

  • Tick off single episodes, or mark a whole season watched in one tap
  • Up Next: the next episode of every show you are part-way through, with the hours left
  • A reminder when a new episode of a show on your watchlist airs
  • An Android home-screen widget with your next episode
  • A Character Map for every season — who is who, with twists hidden until you ask

Bring your Letterboxd films with you

Export your data from Letterboxd — Settings, then Data, then Export your data — and upload the ZIP to Trovie as it is. Your watched films with their dates, your ratings and your watchlist come across. Letterboxd files carry a film’s name and year rather than an ID, so Trovie asks about the few it cannot be sure of instead of guessing. The step-by-step Letterboxd export guide.
